If you are using Windows 8, you also need to install Microsoft Netmon:

Hi;

Eventhough I am using Windows 7, I installed Microsoft Netmon. After that I am getting the following error message:

Unexpected Exception:javaxmedia.CannotRealizeException - null

This prevails even after installing JMStudio.

Please resolve ASAP.

Regards;

Shamik

After talking to my developers yesterday, I learned a few things that might help you:

1. The last error you got is likely a video error. Try taking a trace without video and see if it works.

2. HAXM is the intel acceleration in Lollipop - this might be causing issues. I am able to reproduce you issue in the 5.0.1 and the new 5.1 emulators.  We will look to solve this in our next release.

3. have you tried a tethered device?

Hey,
It is working fine without the video. Thanks for your help.
Anyway I wanted to analyse the power consumed while making a phone call. Is there anyway to do that?

Glad we got it working.

We only measure the data radio, but the circuit switched radio.  If you wanted to measure a VOIP call with Skype or VoLTE, ARO will see the packets and measure the power used.

But for a traditional phone call - ARO won't be able to help.
