What version of device are you using?

Can you try on KitKat or Lollipop?

Also when I am using ARO collecter I am getting the following error:

Method not found: 'System.Type

System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.GetTypeFromCLSID(System.Guid).

Hi there,

Let's take a step back here:  Are you using an emulator?  If so, did you install the collector on the emulator?  Or are you following the instructions in the documentation?

http://developer.att.com/application-resource-optimizer/docs#testing-android-emulator

The collector should not be installed on the emulator. You should run the traces from the ARO analyzer as stated in the docs.

If you are using a device - what Android OS version are you using? Is the device rooted?

Thanks,

Doug

I am using an emulator and it is running on 5.0.1 It is a nexus 5. And the collector is installed on my PC and not my emulator

I think it has something to do with the NetFramework4.0 installer. Please reply ASAP.

I can reproduce this with the 5.0.1 emulator.  We will work to resolve it.

in the meantime, can you try a 4.4 emulator?

I will  try. I have just emulated the 5.0.1 in arm and am getting an error that the ARO data collector cannot start

Hi. It did work with 4.4 However, after running an application in the emulator I have pulled the traces. However, after I go to File->Open Trace->trace folder I get the following error:

Unexpected Exception:java.lang.NoClass.DefFoundError - Could not initialize class com.att.aro.pcap.NetmonAdapter.

I have already installedWinPcap.

Please tell me how to resolve this ASAP.

Thanks

Shamik
