Video Optimizers 3.1 Release
We are happy to announce that on April 29th, 2020, AT&T released Video Optimizer 3.1, the latest update to our award-winning software for mobile developers, content providers, and video producers.
Video Optimizer 3.1 introduces a new Video Best Practice called “Analyzing the Adaptive Bitrate Ladder” that includes a chart showing how the video playback was distributed through the different video tracks and resolutions:

Video Optimizer 3.1 brings support for secure trace collection with devices running Android versions 9 & 10. This feature allows better visibility into encrypted traffic packets.
Video Optimizer 3.1 introduces the “Round Trip Time” column on the TCP/UDP table of the Diagnostics tab. This provides visibility into the latency of TCP sessions.
Video Optimizer 3.1 also introduces a new graph of “Session Count” to the Diagnostics tab. This show the total number of sessions open at any point in a trace.
Video Optimizer 3.1 also adds additional enhancements to HLS and DASH analysis, naming of video streams, save & close functionality, and command-line interface options.
