Can I use unicodes to send emojis using the In App Messaging API?
Unicode Standard for Emojis
We're having trouble sending unicode and emoji characters using this API -- they're getting converted into '?' when the message is sent. For example using
"text": "Testing \ud83d\ude00"
results in "Testing ?" Same thing happens using x-www-form-urlencoding with "text=Testing%20%F0%9F%98%80"
Per the docs "This method sends messages as SMS or MMS as follows. For SMS Messages: Text only, using the ISO-8859-1 format."
Could you please clarify if there's another syntax or parameters to send non-Latin unicode/emojis via SMS? Thanks.
Has this question been answered? I'd like to know how to do this also. I'm having the same '?' replacement issues.
Sorry for the late reply. Let me look into this, and do some testing. I'll get back to you.
