Video Optmizer is unable to capture Video of iOS device. 11.21.2018 06:06 AM
I am trying to collect traces from my iOS device using VO. I have installed all the libraries as mentioned in the official installation guide. I am using Mojave OS on mac with latest Xcode i.e 10.1. My iPhone is running in 12.1. I am able to capture traces but video is not showing on live video simulator of Video Optmizer and it is not generating .mov file in output directory. I can see .pcap file with some other files but video file is missing. May be due to latest update in OS and Xcode video capturing is not working. Please suggest.

Shiv, I wanted to post here in the forum the resolution to your issue that we determined in our call so that in the future it would be available to users searching the forum:
The initial Mac configuration used the "release" version of libimobiledevice, but Video Optimizer requires the "HEAD" version. The subsequent attempt to install the HEAD version was giving an (unnoticed) error due to a linked dependancy (usbmuxd) that also required the HEAD version. The following commands, run separately or all together, corrected the libimobiledevice installation:
