Re: Mac OS not generating reports for iOS 07.27.2018 10:48 AM
Hi Bobby, This is Tom Rickell from the AT&T Developer Outreach team. Reviewing your thread, it does seem that a call would be helpful to dig into your issue. Additionally, I have just finished a major overhaul of our Mac setup and prerequisite configuration instructions.
I have attached those revised instructions for your review (they will be getting published to our website later today as well). If it appears you are already up-to-date on all of these steps, then please suggest some days/times that it would work for you to have a call with us.

VO Installation steps - Mac OS X (7-24-2018)
Download and install Java (or update to latest version if already installed).
Download and install the latest version of Apple¿s Xcode. You will need to provide an Apple ID in order to download Xcode from Apple¿s website. If you have Apple devices associated with your Apple ID, you will also need one of them on hand to complete the two-factor authorization.
Run the Video Optimizer Installer that you downloaded. Use the default settings. When the installation is nearly complete, a window will pop up reminding you to install the following prerequisites.
Install FFmpeg from the Terminal window using "brew install ffmpeg"
In order to get captures from iOS devices, you need to install libimobiledevice, ideviceinstaller and Fuse for Mac OS. Use the following brew commands from your terminal window: "brew install libimobiledevice", "brew install ideviceinstaller", and "brew cask install osxfuse".
In order to get captures from Android devices, download and install the Android SDK platform tools, specifically ADB. Once the basic install is complete, you will still need to run the Android Studio application so that it will complete the download and installation of all the components we need.
Complete the Video Optimizer installation and run Video Optimizer.
Set the ADB path. Before you can obtain Android traces, you will need to set the ADB path in Video Optimizer. Go to File>Preferences and browse for the ADB path. It can usually be found under Users>"your user name">Library>Android>sdk>platform-tools
To take Android traces, you must set up your device for USB debugging.
On the device, go to Settings>About Device>tap on "Build Number" five times. This enables the developer options menu which is available in the default settings page.
Then go up a level to Developer Options and turn on USB Debugging. See the Video Optimizer Testing Guide for additional information on capturing traces.
