IMEI is incorrect on IoT dashboard 07.19.2019 06:57 PM
I hadn't used my 1st gen avnet WNC dev board in a while and wanted to play with again now that I had time. I contacted AT&T about re-activating the old LTE based sim and they told me they could not do that due to the time passed since it was last used. They told me that the plans they are offering now are LTE-m based instead and that I could order a new SIM card. After they apparently lost my order for 2 weeks, I contacted them again after not receiving anything and they next-day shipped me a new SIM card.
When it showed up, I didn't have time to do anything with it yet but I started to try to get it working again a few days ago. When I went to activate the SIM, it was already entered on my dashboard apparently when it was shipped.
Since they told me it was LTE-m based, I re-flashed my AvNet 1st gen with the LTE-m based firmware and tried to get it to connect with no luck. I verified the APN was set properly but still no luck. I checked a number of other AT settings based on recommendations in this forum but couldn't get it to connect.
So I started running the AT commands from the pdf guide to verify the SIM was being read. AT%CCID did show the SIM number. So I checked the CIMI and compared it to the dashboard - again fine. But when I check the IMEI, it doesn't match what is entered on the IOT dashboard (the last few digits appear to be incorrect)
Yet despite trolling around that page for hours, I can't seem to find any way to change it. I can't seem to delete the existing sim so I can re-enter it with the correct values either.
How do I fix whatever AT&T seemed to ***** up when they entered my new SIM card for me?
