Re: How can I add non-text files 12.30.2014 05:59 AM
Adding non text files is an advanced task, so you better make sure you know what you are doing so you will not mess up your project by mistake. You will need a git client (I like git bash - https://msysgit.github.io/ ). Next, copy the URL of your project in the AT&T Flow Designer. Trim it after your project's name, and add a ".git" suffix. For example: if my URL is http://ces.flowstudio.att.io/myUser/myProjectName/edit/master/flow.json , the result would be http://ces.flowstudio.att.io/myUser/myProjectName.git . Now you want to run some git commands (using your client) to get your project's repository, and add your file to it. Once you are done push your changes to the AT&T Flow Designer: a. Clone the project to a local repository git clone <the URL you constructed> For example: git clone http://ces.flowstudio.att.io/myUser/myProjectName.git b. Copy the files you want to upload to the web/wwwroot directory of the project you cloned (in my example, that means myProjectName/web/wwwroot). c. Add the new files (git add <filename including path>) d. Commit all your changes (git commit -a) e. Pull and merge any changes made through the Flow Designer (git pull) f. Push the changes you have made (the files added) back to the Flow Designer (git push)

I had been able to upload files that way. My problem was I was trying to add "locale/en-US" subdirs for the node and did not see how to create those subdirs. I was adding the html/.js files that implement an Arduino node. Those tow upload just fine. The .html has been localized. I'm not sure the locale would have been recognized/resolved in this environment, but thought I would try it.
