New to Video Optimizer - linux issue
03.05.2018 12:12 PM I'm new to VideoOptimizer. I'm trying to get it set up on linux. (ubuntu 16.04). If I invoke as root, nothing happens. As a normal user I get:

... 18 more I have gotten it running on a Mac. In that case, I have a captire the is too big to load into the tool. As a rule of thumb, how bit is too big and is there a simple way to split up tests captures under VO? Thanks in advance! |

03.05.2018 01:04 PM REPLY to SNAFU : AT&T Video Optimizer - New to Video Optimizer - linux issue
Hello, We support the Linux version and we do have the unix.sh version for installation. Were you able to install it correctly with latest VO 1.4.0 version? We can look into this and let you know. On Mac, We have an option in 'Preferences' under 'Best Practices' tab to run only those best practices that you want to analyse. I'm not quite sure whether this is what you want to do. Please do reply if you need further help on this. |
Re: New to Video Optimizer - linux issue
03.08.2018 11:15 AM We could reproduce the issue with a fresh Ubuntu 16.04 installation. The new version of VO will have a fix for it. Thanks for sharing the issue here!!

Re: New to Video Optimizer - linux issue
03.22.2018 04:10 PM The issue is most probably with the jdk version which got installed on your linux platform. VO supports only the OracleJDK version and if your machine got installed with the openJDK version, VO doesn't work. VO team reproduced the issue by installing the openJDK version and it was solved by trying with the OracleJDK version.
Please get back to us if you face any other issues. Thanks!! |
