Live from the Launch Festival 2013!
Hubskip (www.hubskip.com) takes away the complexity of buying an airline ticket and won’t surprise you with any hidden fees. Hubskip helps you find the destinations that match your interest while getting you the best price for your flight. You simply search, select and book in single steps. Users even get a refund if the price drops just after you’ve bought the ticket.
Instaradio (http://ooomf.com/instarad.io) says it makes audio broadcasting simple through its iPhone app. Users can stream music from their device’s music library from the app, making it available to anyone with the unique link to the content. Users can also narrate over the music, almost like the user is actually on the radio.
Zyllabyte (www.zyllabyte.com) tries to identify key new leads scattered around the web. Users come to its site, provide a description of their ideal customers, then the site uses a combo of human teams, machine-learning, and big data analysis to identify prospects across the web.
At the time of writing this blog (Tuesday morning, 11am, Zillabyte was on the top of the leaderboard for the LAUNCH crowd funding app. There were several other cool companies as well – just need time to go meet with them!
Our friends at Angelhack hosted a hackathon in conjunction with the conference. Over 120 teams are competing for prizes and exposure. Winners will be announced later this week.
