Industry Leaders to Participate in Panel Discussion on the Internet of Things at the 2015 AT&T Developer Summit Keynote
We are pleased to announce that we have gathered top industry leaders to take part in a thought-provoking keynote panel on the Internet of Things (IoT) at the upcoming 2015 AT&T Developer Summit. CEO of AT&T Mobility, Glenn Lurie, will moderate the panel. Participants include:
- Steven M. Mollenkopf, CEO Qualcomm: Mollenkopf started his career at Qualcomm as an engineer. For the past 20 years, he has been instrumental in implementing the company’s strategy and technologies. By overseeing the launch of 4G technology, he helped Qualcomm become a global leader and the world’s largest chipset supplier. A published IEEE author, Mollenkopf holds seven patents in areas such as power estimation and measurement, multi-standard transmitters, and wireless communication transceiver technology. He is also chairman of the Global Semiconductor Alliance and a member of the Board of Directors of the Semiconductor Industry Association.
- Alex Hawkinson, Co-Founder and CEO SmartThings: An IoT thought leader, Hawkinson believes that the “Physical Graph represents the next major phase of the Internet that will create revolutionary change in every facet of life from the home to the office to the gym.” Prior to being one of the founders of SmartThings, Hawkinson has spent the bulk of his career in leadership positions with cloud-based technology companies.
- Padmasree Warrior, Chief Technology and Strategy Officer Cisco: In her position at Cisco, she is responsible for aligning technology development and corporate strategy to enable the company to anticipate, shape, and lead major market transitions. Warrior joined Cisco in 2008 as Senior Vice President, Engineering. Since that time, she has also served as Chief Technology Officer and co-led Cisco’s worldwide engineering organization. Warrior has been the recipient of multiple awards and accolades for her creative, visionary leadership. Forbes has named Warrior one of “The World’s 100 Most Powerful Women,” for two years running. The Wall Street Journal has called Warrior one of “50 Women to Watch,” Fast Company included her among the “100 Most Creative People in Business,” and TheEconomic Times listed her as “the 11th Most Influential Global Indian.”
- Benedict Evans, Partner Andreessen Horowitz: As a long-time mobile analyst, Benedict has been working in the media and technology industries for 15 years. He first entered the industry as a sell-side equity analyst for investment banks before moving on to strategy and business development roles at Orange, Channel 4 and NBC Universal. Benedict writes about and discusses strategic and operating issues around consumer technology, ecosystems and mobile platform on his blog.
