Dive Into DevPost’s Data for Diplomas – Win Part of $40,000 in Prizes
You have been challenged! Use data, boost graduation rates, win part of $40,000 in prizes.
“Data for Diplomas” is a DevPost contest that kicked off August 24th with $40,000 in prizes and the support of AT&T, through its AT&T Aspire initiative, and GradNation. Data for Diplomas is looking for innovators to use the provided data sets, and other public data if you choose, to produce a data visualization that demonstrates gathered insights, or a data-centric, functional software application that can help us increase the U.S. high school graduation rate. Some of our AT&T data scientists, in collaboration with the Everyone Graduates Center at Johns Hopkins University, have already explored the main public data set we’re providing and they believe the insight opportunities are vast.
Similar contests by DevPost have included Connect Ability, AT&T’s technology innovation challenge for people with disabilities. That contest led to the creation of cool apps such as Kinesic Mouse, which enables hands-free control of a PC with eye-blinking and facial gesture.
The Data for Diplomas contest is open now until November 10, 2015. Winners will be announced in December.
