Join the AT&T Developer Program for this free webcast to learn how to excel at caching so your app is NOT the one that drains your users’ batteries and chews up their valuable data. Every time your app needs to make a data connection, it drains the battery. If it continues to hog too much battery, users will dump your app. One of the biggest caching offenses is double sending data needlessly. Consider this: If your application requests a 4 KB image twice per session with just 5,000 users, you’re sending 19 MB of “extra” data to your users. The radio power usage on these 5,000 additional downloads could be the equivalent to draining 35% of a smart phone battery. Remember too that cached files are instantly available, with no download lag. That means your application feels faster to your user.
August 13-15 2012 – New York City, New York
