***SUBMISSION PERIOD IS NOW OPEN – NO FEE TO ENTER***

The AT&T Entertainment Project is an open challenge seeking imaginative, undiscovered short films from talented storytellers across the U.S. who want their voices heard. Whether you’re an emerging indie filmmaker or student, you’ll have a chance to compete for up to $20K in cash prizes, meet with AT&T execs, and take home the AT&T Entertainment Project trophy.

The finalists’ shorts will be showcased during the AT&T SHAPE, tech and entertainment expo on July 14-15, 2017, held at Warner Bros. Studios in Los Angeles. Even more exciting, the winning shorts will also air on AT&T’s AUDIENCE® Network on DIRECTV.

We are seeking original short films, up to 10 minutes in length, across all genres including action/adventure, comedy, documentary, drama, experimental, horror, sci-fi, and thriller. Submissions will be accepted through May 26, 2017, or until 1,000 entries have been submitted – whichever comes first.

The AT&T Entertainment Project Awards

The top three finalists in the Emerging Filmmaker category will be flown to Los Angeles to showcase their work and compete in the AT&T Entertainment Project finals on July 14, 2017 at Warner Bros. Studios. Airfare and accommodations will be provided for one representative from each team. A total prize pool of $48,000 will be awarded.

Why Short Films?

Short films transcend traditional storytelling, and are a popular way for creators to connect with their audience. Across all genres, shorts are no longer just for beginning filmmakers. We are looking to celebrate original, thought-provoking stories, and to provide creators with more opportunities for getting exposure for their passion projects.
