What’s So Special About the AT&T API Platform?
Some of you who heard us announce the launch of the AT&T API Platform at this year’s AT&T Developer Summit might be thinking, “C’mon, AT&T has been offering network service APIs for years, this isn’t anything new.” Yes, it’s true that AT&T has offered these same APIs, but not in this way. Think of this as sort of a reboot of how we offer the standard APIs you’d expect from a carrier, as well as new and unique APIs, supported by an entire ecosystem.
The AT&T API Platform is a platform that encourages you to be innovative. The platform lets you explore ways to use APIs from AT&T to create something new or to improve functionality that will delight your customers and differentiate your app-and monetize it at the same time. For a limited time, pay only an annual $99 fee to get access to all the APIs available on the platform, including the Payment API for in-app purchases with a 70/30 revenue share.

Free Tool to Test Android App Performance & Efficiency
You want apps that perform well and do not waste precious battery life, right? Well then, we think you’re really going to like the AT&T Application Resource Optimizer (ARO). The AT&T Developer Program took the learnings from research performed by AT&T Labs Research and turned their prototype testing tool into AT&T ARO, a full-blown tool that can be used to test how efficiently your Android apps run on the network and utilize the device battery. AT&T ARO and the Best Practices tips we’re passing on can help improve your app’s performance on all carriers worldwide, not just on AT&T, because all of the tips are based on carrier-independent standards and protocols. And the really good news is that most of these optimization recommendations are easy to implement. So, by taking the time to test your app and make simple improvements, the optimization benefits to you (and ultimately to your end users) can be significant. Learn more and get AT&T ARO today.
