Certification, Signing, and Testing Overview

This is how you, as a developer, certify, sign, and test mobile applications and solutions for millions of AT&T customers.

An important step in getting your application, game or widget to market is meeting AT&T's certification requirements. There are many supported platforms, devices, and distribution options for AT&T.

The AT&T certification process varies slightly depending on the distribution channel or platform. Here is an overview of the certification process.

The AT&T certification process consists of the following steps:

  1. Content Review. The AT&T content review team must approve your content before we publish it through an AT&T distribution channel. All content must conform to AT&T's Content Policy and Application Requirements.
  2. Code Signing. All applications, games, and widgets must be code signed before publishing to an AT&T distribution channel. Each platform or distribution channel has different code signing processes. Learn more about the official process in Code Signing.
  3. Testing. Independent test houses conduct application testing as part of the certification process for all AT&T distribution channels. These tests confirm that your application's performance, user interface, data integrity, application security, and data transmission all meet or exceed AT&T usability guidelines. Learn more about the testing process for your AT&T distribution channel.

Certification happens during the Content Review and Code Signing and Testing steps as part of the overall AT&T go-to-market process.
