As a developer, you know the challenges of getting your app noticed by customers, especially when competing with over 500,000 apps and games in Google Play.
AT&T has created several opportunities to help you bring your app to the consumer forefront, putting your content in the highly-trafficked environment on AT&T mobile devices. It's easy to participate and there are no app binaries to submit. Users will be able to find and download your app in Google Play or an agreed upon mobile app storefront.
About the Distribution Opportunities
On Device
Featured Apps
This preloaded widget and app is available on select Android phones and tablets, bringing app discovery to the phone-top and tablet-top. It showcases an editorially-controlled carousel that highlights outstanding apps and games from our developer partners and AT&T, with new content featured weekly.
Carrier Shelf
This AT&T branded area can be accessed from the Apps or Games homepage within Google Play. The carrier shelf is available on all Android devices, and featured content is refreshed weekly. This opportunity is also editorially controlled.
Other Android Opportunities
AT&T is continuing development work on other opportunities for the Android platform. We will provide updates as more information becomes available.
Other Marketing Channels
General Marketing
Opportunities arise occasionally for exposure in AT&T's general marketing. This can range from apps posters and live phone demos in our retails stores to inclusion in email newsletters and customer magazines. These placements are by invitation only, however you can offer your app for consideration.

For on-device opportunities, your app must already be available in Google Play or other agreed upon mobile application storefront. AT&T will select mobile apps and games to showcase and drive users to the product detail page to download directly from Google Play. AT&T's Editorial Team curates and updates these opportunities frequently, but placement of your app is not guaranteed.
For other marketing channel opportunities, you will need to provide assets quickly when requested, and in high res formats. Typically we require that any artwork provided is high resolution, a minimum of 600 dpi and in an .eps file or scalable vector file. Asset requests may include the icon, multiple screenshots, video files of your app or game in use and short descriptions.
